WorkWizz workflow for the popular magazine AllerHande
Albert Heijn distributes the much-read magazine AllerHande every month to its customers.
The challenge
AllerHande is the result of a publication process involving various parties. First Albert Heijn itself; then media bureau Kobalt; Media Partners which draws up the concept, the photography and the editorial content; Reclameteam, which looks after the advertisements; Roto Smeets Utrecht for the lithography and, finally, Roto Smeets Deventer, which prints millions of copies of AllerHande. A process like this must run quickly and reliably, but with traditional communication techniques that was problematical.
The solution
Logic Use translated the complete AllerHande publication process into one single custom-built workflow. Editorial pages and advertisements were delivered online. In WorkWizz, the various control phases are integrated. After the proofs are approved, the status of a page is changed and becomes automatically available for the next stage in the process. As soon as all the components have been approved, print-ready PDFs are automatically sent to the printer. Multiple issues can be in production simultaneously and are presented in a conveniently organised way in WorkWizz. Each component of the publication can be checked in detail - and all via a standard web browser!
The result
Direct, online communication. The complex publication process has become fully transparent. Any errors are detected earlier, allowing the total process to run smoothly and providing enormous timesavings and improved efficiency for everyone involved.
