Extra time for advertising sales

Newsweek, the celebrated international weekly news magazine - which goes through the letterboxes of its many subscribers every week, and which can be seen on newsstands all over the world. Editorial pages and even advertising can be delivered at the last minute, making it genuinely up-to-the minute.

The challenge
An up-to-date weekly, printed at many places over the world. Sales offices in various countries take care of the acquisition of advertising. Communication between these offices and Newsweek in New York created difficulties. Much time was lost sending materials between sales offices to New York and from there to the various printers.

The solution
The “Online International Advertising Manager”, built for the purpose by Logic Use. This allows Newsweek to reserve advertising online. Foreign sales offices or their external repro studios can deliver advertisements online using a standard web browser. Newsweek sets out online in which editions and at which printing locations these should be used. The printers (in Weert, Zofingen, Singapore, Johannesburg and printers in the UK and USA) then download the required advertisements online.

Results
Central archiving of advertisement files. Direct online advertising communication. Enormous timesavings and improved efficiency for Newsweek and the printers. Less risk of errors. This solution from Logic Use offers the customer extra time for advertising sales.
